All night long doing what? I hear you say...well, sorry to disappoint you all but it was work, not anything else (such as reading...i don't know what you were thinking!Honestly!). Anyway to make a short story long, this week has been hell as you will find out right now:
1) Coursework - this includes both Physics and computing...both quite large projects, both extremely time consuming and both not recieving anytime at the moment...well they are recieving some time, just last night...and the night before actually....and the night before that too , i was putting lots of hours into doing physics and computing yet getting nowhere, except closer to a suicide attempt...ARGH! So yes...that is what takes up my nights until about 2:30-3:30 every night!
2) Charity Show - Something else that doesn't appear to be causing any stress, but surely must be underneath it all...after all i have been thrust into the Vicar of Dibley with almost on time to prepare...thanks Stuart, Edd, Hannah and co! Also i have the Blue Peter thingy which WAS causing me immense stress, but seems to be on course! YAY!
3) Music Exams - Grade 8 Flute, Grade 6 Piano and Grade 5 Double Bass, all in one year is a very daunting prospect and one which i am not looking forward to...i feel so very underprepared for all of them, especially the flute one! Ah well all will be well i'm sure.
4) University Interviews - Another stress point...wondering how i will do in interview, or what piece i should play, or wether they will all just laugh at me and say "piss off, we don't want you here"...Ah well it's all an experience i guess, if nothing else!
So anyway...these are all things that keep from going to sleep in one form or another, obviously there's the physical (i.e. the coursework) but much worse is the psychological which stops me from sleeping because of the worrying and situations going round my head...All i can be thankful for is half-term, it'll all be over very soon, then all that will matter is my exams...ARGH!!!!!
I hope i didn't bum you out with all of that talk of doom and gloom, here's the good stuff now! Last night i went to a concert at the Royal Festival Hall...it was great! Rachmaninovs 2nd Piano Concerto is (in my opinion) the best concerto ever written, it's amazing...if you haven't heard it then find a recording now, it's beautiful...the pianist was phenemonal his hands moved like fluid over the keys. There was also Mussorgskys pictures at an exhibition, which was great fun to listen to, especially the Chickens (Pousson...not poisson as some people believed!) coming out of their shells, ever such a funny part! That night completely lifted away all my stresses and worries...during the Rachmaninov i had not a care in the world, glorious!
This past week has also seen the arrival of my Canadian relatives who came over for my grandmothers funeral (which was an absolutely beautiful service...so nice...i will miss her, even though she drove us mad whenever she came round the house, lol). They came over and it snowed...lol...something they were bot expecting at all. We had many a snowball fight on Thursday and Friday! So nice to finally catch up with them after 9 years...a looooooong time!
Gareth - Owns his own IT/Communications group...Agora Group is its name i think. Very succesful, he's met everyone from the President (he's not proud of that though! lol) to our good old RH Queen Elzabeth II (he was quite proud of that) and a few more in the middle too.
Melinda - Is a teacher of Drama and English...she's doing really well at her Job, the kids love her...but the pay is absolute CRAP!
Aunt Judith - Works for NATO in their textiles division...i.e. Bullet proof jackets etc. (also she gets to decide what fabric to make sand bags out of...lol)
Uncle Mike - Retired and has his own "lab" where he experiments with robotics. Now thats something i would like to mess around with! hehe!
Anyway...those are my canadian relatives...very nice people...very talkative. I leave you with one pleasant though, "Where words fail music speaks" and speaks it does...very nicely.

...and pours it does...in endless torrents of gushing destructive water against the walls of my life. So with the weird metaphorical philosophical bit out of the way...onwards with what you all read this journal for...ME...only joking, it's my friends really isn't it?!!
As you may have guessed i have had it a bit rough these last couple of weeks (keep those comments to yourself Dawn!!) and thus i have lots of foreboding news for you which we'll all look back at and laugh in a few months i'm sure!
1) I have some form of ugly horrible liver disease...which i s a bit worrying...special diets and medication here i come! WOOHOO
2) The medication for my 'skin condition' as they so politely call it at the hospital seems to have more cons than pros...listed here:
Major side effects (things that affect almost everyone who takes the drug!) - Dry, flaky and itchy skin, Sore eyes, Nose bleeds, Hair change (i.e. hair loss or rapid growth...lol) and mood changes (in some it has caused attempted suicide...:S)
Minor side effects - Menstrual changes (OH NO!!! LOL) diminished hearing and sight, various diseases...etc.
PLUS i am not allowed to drink whil taking this drug...i mean..COME ON!!!!! Don't take it too seriously, i figure they just note down anything that anyone ever had whilst testing the drug..."Paul hit head on beam, hmm...can cause headaches" lol
3)School work building up...ARGH, the walls around me, nooooooooooooooooooo!
4)Made a fool diddly doodle of myself whilst confessing certain feelings to a certain someone...the rejection, the rejection....nooooooo. LOL, it's ok, i'm over it...no really i am...well i'll work on it!
5)Concerto is not going too well...no time to practice with Sam...again i say noooooooooooooooooooooooo!
6) nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
That is all, i'm off to drop my balls in some sand now...

...Thus continues the look into my life of the last month...
4) New Years eve/day was fun! went round to James' and if you want to know in detail what happened look at my friends' LJ's! A few highlights though...Jenny spitting white wine everywhere...even onto Stuart (may i take this opportunity to congratulate Jenny and Stuart on taking a whole 9 months to get together, :D...Stuart why the raised fist, Stuart? ARGH!), Patrick (met for the first time at said party, seems an interesting and witty person...but then so did Alix!) had to kiss Dom as a dare, he chickened out in the end and kissed his own hand instead (sounds confusing, but it really wasn't!) Consequences which is always funny in the right company...see Dawn for complete transcripts i think! There was also James' striptease, Dawn kissing Pat, Hazel kissing Dawn (do i detect a common factor...was that all just an excuse for certain people to do things in public...hmmm!) ah well...read everyone elses entries...nothing interesting happened to me…but then I was on the magical couch, it protected Hannah and I from coming to any ‘harm’ it also protected Dom too though he wasn’t sitting on it….hmm…perhaps my theory has a hole in it.
5) Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers…an epic tale wondrously brought to life…it was amazing, possibly not as enthralling story wise as The Fellowship of the Ring (mainly because I had read the books and they had juggled it all about a bit!) but the battle scenes more than made up for it, and Gollum was just amazingly life like. If you haven’t seen it…GO AND SEE IT NOW!!!!
6) Star Trek Nemesis, the tenth outing into film territory for the brilliant series, and it was a very good one! Echoing back to the action packed adventures of First Contact this film was truly Trek like…it was all action and fun but had an underlying moral message about cloning and the darker side of the same person along with a lot of what if scenarios (what if Picard had grown up under the hands of Romulans on a dark Reman world! Etc.) It was all very good and funny….though why the hell Wesley was in there I don’t know!! Good to see Guinans hat again though! I hope it is the last film for the Next Generation crew because they have all split up and it wouldn’t be the same and also because they are so damned old, mind you so were the TOS crew when they made their films…but still!
7) University wise…I have had two replies: City – BCC (plus a scholarship for advanced performance tuition at Guildhall School of Music & Drama…the place where people like Orlando Bloom go for training! Imagine all the people I could meet!) UEA – Want me up for an interview sometime in February…will go to that along with Sam probably.
8) Coursework…one word BUGGER…actually for once I am only behind in coursework for computing (but a fair way behind, despite my cool reassuring to my parents!)…physics I am actually ok in…I just need to get my different types of sand!
9) Health wise I seem to be deteriorating…it would appear that the only cause of yellow Sclera (the whites of the eye for those of you who fell asleep in GCSE biology with Dr. Mechan!) is Adult Jaundice which could be a problem, it would mean that I have a bad liver which is very annoying since I have treated my liver very well…I hardly ever drink alcohol and don’t smoke or do drugs…so I don’t know why it’s all messed up! GRRR! Also my problem with sleeping may well be because of the drugs I am taking…the self same drugs that give me depression…bloody doctors, can’t they create a drug without side effects!
Anyway I hope you’re fine, have a wonderful 2003! YAY!

...To my world of the last month or so! Lets have a 'brief' look at what has happened...
1) A 'physics' trip to Geneva, Switzerland...i use the word Physics very lightly for this trip since it actually involved only 2 hours or so of physics, which involved looking at what looked like mahusive child play things. I say mahusive and i mean mahusive you could fit Alix or Dawn (i know they're not the largest of people...but still!) in just the middle section alone, and that was only a teeny tiny part of the whole! Anyway...with the physics out of the way, everyone proceeded to roam around Geneva city centre, mostly looking for alcohol but with the occasional delve into a chocolate shop, to buy liquers (i hope i spelt that right :s) The night was most interesting, after buying one bottle of Bailey's, a bottle of Vodka and something else which i can't remember we all headed back to the hotel and proceeded to argue over which room to spend the evening in...we ended up in James' and Alberts' room, poor buggers! A few things happened of note...Kofi and his attempt to chat up Alix and later talk about him not being able to control himself (this talk actually got me a bit scared! Kofi scares me!). James (Moi) got absolutely slaughtered and threw up in James' (Sudbury) rooms sink which Stuart later proceeded to spend half an hour unblocking (rather your hand than mine, is all i am going to say Stuart! eurgh!). Alix being the overweight person that she is sat on a table fixed to the wall and snapped it off...or it might have been Alberts fault...hmm i wonder.
Because of that trip Stuart now thinks Alix and I have or will have something going on in the near future "There's chemistry there" in stuarts own words. Spent most of the trip being pissed off by Gary, who always seemed to be right behind me and also developed a crush on Alix (has he asked you out yet?), i believe Stuart actually told Gary where to shove it at one point! Good for you Stuart :)! I also recall a little something we told Gary about Alix being a Lesbian (not true actually!) to which he replied "oh...but i thought...i thought Alix was a good girl", so Alix if you're reading this according to Gary you are a BAD BAD girl...BAD!rrrrrrr! :P!
2)Christmas shopping up to London with Yeelz...much like the last time we went up to London together but with some subtle differences! This time we went into Hamleys which was really exciting...i know you're thinking "what a sad boy this is who gets his thrills from going to a toy shop" but bear with me! You see it was my first time in Hamleys, the amount of toys in one place just overwhelmed me, but before i could star in awe at the toys i was being whisked away by the whirlwind that was Yeelz...she took me all the way to the top and we worked our way down floor by floor. Another thing unique to this trip was my phonecall from Dave the welsh phone guy...offering me a free 'upgrade' to a 3210...upgrade is, again, a word i use lightly here considering that the 3210 is about 3 years behind my phone and twice the size and at least three times the weight, errrr....NO DAVE!! Eventually we returned to our respective homes with our christmas shopping lists somewhat diminished not to mention our bank balances :s!
3) Christmas itself has been somewhat overclouded by my Gran this year...it's not that she's that big...it's just that she was in hospital four days before christmas day, released on christmas eve and back into hospital on christmas day having given myself, mum and dad time to have christmas dinner amd unwrap our presents...all in all we got about 3 hours to ourselves on christmas day after having been around to see friends etc. Ah well....things can only get better...next years christmas will just seem to be the best christmas ever!
I am splitting this entry into Christmas and New Year...so the next entry will be about New Year and events past that!

Well, i have finally found enough time to make an entry, and it's going to be a looooooooong one! I have been working on several "projects" over the last month or so, some have come to pass, some are yet to pass and some are so far off that i couldn't crae less about them.
1) Sweeney Todd - Sweeney was THE single most enjoyable week of my life...It was great, i really can't describe why, you just can't beat performing to an audience and them actually clapping YOU! Yes everyone, they clapped me...and whats more they all came up to me afterwards and said i was brilliant, some even went so far as to say that i was "the best performer in the show". I was so touched, you have no idea...whats more i enjoyed it and that is what is most significant since i was really nervous about it all because it was my first time as a principle role, thankfully i overcame my nervousness and now i have a great feeling of accomplishment.
I am sure that we (the brentwood operatic society) could produce an outtakes reel for these shows, because every rehearsal had us in fits of laughter, with me and my madman routine that changed everytime i did it...the leading lady and her bon-bons...as well as the fact that the words were so silly that they changed everytime too! lol...actually i think you ahd to be there to get the jokes but nevermind!
2) I turned 18!!!!!!!!!! YAYAYAYAY...and thankyou to everyone who sent me a card or a present, I had a great time celebrating my 18th, elongated as it was by the fact that it came right in the middle of the glorious Sweeney Todd! We had an open "free" bar, WOOHOO, everyone was there...it was just perfect, YAY...now i can do lots of stuff i couldn't before like buy alcohol and... buy alcohol, ah well maybe being 18 isn't so great. lol!
3) School mock exams, a waste of time for me since i didn't show myself working to the best of my ability because the tests were in the middle of Sweeney Todd (AGAIN! i hear you groan, everything sort of came together in one big "mash"!) Therefore i got a record low physics test score, subsequently Mr Gray has given up on me (it's only taken me a year to get him to do that...bloody fool couldn't take a hint!) Dr Cooper is determined to get me to work harder than ever...bless him! Computing was better, except for Mr King (the incompetent idiot!) who's test i managed to get 35% in, but the other module for computing was better, 68%! YAY! Music i got 95% in one test and goodness knows what in the other...all in all i'd say they went quite well considering my degenerated state and complete lack of revision! Woo!
4) I have made plans to play a double flute concerto early next year with Sam Jones (Jam Scones if your Yeelz!) This will go well me thinks, if Sam will get to school occasionally!!!!!!!!!!!!! not that i am annoyed about that or anything!
Thats it for now...i am sorry tat i have not been my usual funny self in this entry...come back soon for the next enthralling installment of Ian Southgate: The Nickname Years!

If you think that this is going to be an entry...then you'd be right...but thats not what i meant, i meant that this entry won't tell you anything much. The reason i have not been able to make entries into LJ is because of my filled up schedule, I have too much stuff going on at once...as usual.
1) I have School...Bugger!
2) I have rehearsals for Sweeney Todd...Show in a weeks time. This is more stressful and time consuming than people realise, therefore i will not be making a proper entry until after the show has finished...probably 2 weeks Sunday.
3) I have school music stuff!
4) I have 2 bits of coursework to be getting on with...ARGH!
5) ...actually there is no five...ah well nevermind! lol
So....when i do write an entry it will be very long (may even stretch over more than two!) and will include so much stuff that you'll have an information overload and blowup...ok, so maybe i need SOME sleep...can't a person survive on less than four hours of sleep a night? lol. As you may have guessed i am having problems with my sleeping pattern, which is why i am always so hyper during the day! It's good for getting things done, but not for getting them done well...until sunday...randomness rules! YEAH!!

| My Inner Child |
[03 Oct 2002|12:05pm] |

Your inner child is the Toymaker (PIFA) --aloof, quirky and maniacal like a baroque timepiece-- so don't be surprised when all your cukoo clocks go off at once. Luckily, for the present, you have managed to siphon all of your weird-ass issues into some sort of outlet, so you're safe from the guys in skintight white jump suits.
The little baby working away inside of you functions because everything it has learned it learned itself-- without too much outside help. Because you were born being old, you are fixated on youth.
This inner child is common among people who use shiny objects, like serial killers and dentists.

I can't believe that only a week has gone by since the house music competition, it has seemed like ages to me, so much has happened...
1) I have been officially cast as Tobias in Sweeney Todd and am now involved in a fierce ticket selling frenzy to all of my friends (You will come or else...please not I will be the one with razor killing people...and you all thought i was a peaceful person!)
2) I have a date set for playing the double flute concerto at school...March (DP wanted to it this term but realised this wasn't possible after i pointed out that i could not be there, and i AM an integral part of this concerto!)
3) I have finally come with an idea that Mr Kiff likes for my computing coursework this year, YAY! It's only taken me all summer and three weeks of term to come up with a very simple idea. :(
4) I have decided to turn a new leaf and not be any of the following to people: Rude, Condescending, Snobbish, Looky Downy(almost the same as snobbish!) and shout.
5) I have decided to be more assertive and not be shoved to the back of every group I am in just because I am an “innocent” “sweet” person. Mainly because in fact I am none of those things, I am a dirty minded, experienced individual who could easily out talk most people in a conversation/argument!

| House Music Results! |
[25 Sep 2002|11:28pm] |
Part Song - Weald came first followed by North(ME! I was conducting!) Ensemble - North were first(Jess was conducting, i'm so happy for her, she deserved everything she got tonight!) Unison - School came first (bad call by the adjudicator!) followed by weald followed by North(Sam conducting, she did really well too!)
I won the Paul Starr cup for outstanding achievment and commitment to school music along with Jess and Jenny! YAY!
Jess won the Ben someoneorother cup for arranging the best piece!
I am hyper and really happy despite the fact that North came 2nd to Weald, it may have something to do with alcohol consumption, anyway....will talk when i am more awake!

Today marks the day of house music, and i will be conducting part song for my house! Panic! ARGH! :S! As you may have guessed i am very nervous about it, this is something which i have been looking forward to for seven years and now that it is upon me i keep panicing and thinking, "bloody hell what if i mess up and we lose..."!
After having those thoughts i heard my part song angels in rehearsal and they were great, i couldn't have asked for a better choir really, they do what i say (mostly) and have the best voices! The unison is also going really well, but i don't think we will win that part unfortunately...i also don't think we'll win part song, East and Weald are too strong! Having said that i will still put 110% until we finish tonight at about 9:30pm upon when i(and all the other house music conductors) have to go and have "drinks" with the headmaster, DP and the adjudicator(who always gets ignored because no one wants to talk to the person who made them finish last etc.) After this there will undoubtedly be a big party where many people will become drunk and unruly! :D! mmm....drink...alcohol!
Apart from house music nothing amazing has happened this week, heard no evil, said no evil, saw no evil so to speak!
Dawn i hope you're having fun as you certainly sounded like you were yesterday evening when i spoke to you. Signing off for a while, because i have a very busy week infront of me...though if i win house music i will be so ecstatic that i will have to share it with you all wether you want me to or not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

| Watch Out Everyone! |
[21 Sep 2002|04:47pm] |
I will be a house Prae by Monday, which gives me no power, no responsibilities(at the moment anyway!) and no privaleges. In fact i can't actually see a reason for becoming a house prae except for the fact that i will get a nice tie and be in the same boat as all my friends who are also house praes now! Alix, Stuart, Tim and James, i am sure there are other people but i don't know about them yet! So that is one reason why you have to watch out, us five in positions of power is a bad move! MWAHAHA!
Another reason to watch out is because i have given Alix a code for livejournal, so you should be expecting a new journal from her cropping up soon, no doubt it will contain countless references to the fifth form and her hatred of Kofi.

Tuesday, April 30th, 2002 3:11 pm The one with the feet. Just a quick update. I thought i should just put in at least one entry a day of complete nonsense so here it is! Fleas are amazing creatures don't you think, surprisingly resilient and undeniably smart! they get to us by living on the only animals feared less than lions, yes you got it Cats! now i have several intelligent views on cats, two in particular are brought to my attention at the moment. Firstly - Cats do not obey Darwins theory of evolution, if they did then they would know how to use can openers by now! Secondly - Cats used to be worshiped as gods, they have never forgotten this, why do you think they are lazy as hell and just assume you will feed them. So through the logic circle that i have created the next subject will be FEET. Feet - i am of course talking about Benders, for those of you not in the know these are little bendy men with magnets in their hands and feet(there are no connotations of sexual orientation intended within their name, though some of the positions they have been put in may say otherwise!), which for the last two weeks have been slowly ripped into their component magnets. My pencil case now looks like the aftermath of some kind of bender battle ground. But i am talking about there feet, which at present are being skinned by Stuart next to me!!!! They are screaming in pain yet i am helpless to aid them, mainly because the screaming is in my head and also i don't particularly have a desire to be stabbed with a pen knife. Anyway must be going, since the end of the lesson looms ever closer like a dark shadow towering over my class, yes MY class (fools) MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA, i am - despite evidence to the contrary - not a megalomaiac.Ian
2:24 pm The one with the chair Star date 1069456.1023958473299405 (or 106945.1 to the nearest d.p.) Well, my second installment of the afforementioned journal is upon you! Friends - I am sure that this list will never be complete, so on it goes! James - otherwise known as Jesus to us computer people. Fifth form- yes some are my freinds!! Chemistry crew - i may have mislead you into thinking that the chemistry people are evil, this is by no means accurate, they are all very nice, funny people! So all of this brings me back to the subject of this entry, the chair, which is what i happen to be sitting in at the moment. This lesson is physics so naturally i am studying the vista outside the window, which is for your information depressing, my view consists of dull grey sky, rain and a view of chelmsford station markII!! This view is not really very inspiring, though i must mention that the view inside isn't much more inspiring - Dr Cooper! though he has enthusiasm he lacks the necessary knowledge to teach us, in fact as i am writing this he is telling us that "this is new to me...it's a bit of a mystery to me!" inspiring isn't it!!! Anyway, this has been Ian, you have been great to talk to! yes YOU!
Wednesday, May 1st, 2002 11:50 pm The One With The Great Day Yes today was a brilliant day for me. Despite the knowledge that i had double Gray i battled onwards through it, and it was only a minor setback in my day of glory. Chemistry comes along and as usual work is the last thing on the class's list of things to do, and so with merylin carefully stowed away in the tiny room next door we proceeded to "go through" the very test which she was doing. As a demonstration of my kindness to merylin on saturday i told her the contents of the test - a bit vague perhaps but enough - and still she paid no attention to me as always, she just laughed at me(just like everyone else i know, must be something i do!hmm...) So merylin i hope you fail!!!MWAHAHA, only kidding i hope you pass woth flying colours unlike Stuart who got a measly 76%!! Chemistry an hour behind me and a full, if not entirely apetising, meal in my stomach i headed for private study as i couldn't be bothered to do games! on the way i got assaulted by DP, Ebden, Gray(coursework AGAIN!!!) and passed Dr Cooper as he was leaving the queens building with a glazed look on his face and a perpetual smile (could it be a return to his study of "lifes complex tapestry") then to top it all off i get assaulted by Shotton who is a lovely person but has a tendancy to talk and talk and talk etc. I quickly mounted the Ottway steps with Shotton still blabbering on about god knows what! finally i reached the confines of the private study room to find Stuart and James, as i turn to leave Shotton is behind me (still talking) fancying my chances of survival with James and Stuart more than with Shotton i venture into the room... ten minutes Shotton leaves the room and we (James, Stuart and I) bugger off to the music block for a spot of recreational composition. This is where my day gets REALLY good, rehearsal with Jess and Alix which precedes without a hitch and i begin to realise MY dream of MY orchestra. Then unparalleled elation!!!! the whole orchestra thing works we are a hit across the board, Ebden likes us, DP likes us and even the fifth form like us. We will get our revene on those pesky fifth form and to put the icing on the cake alix inadvertently offers me sexual favours in exchange for money, in a twisted way! You had to have been there to have seen the look on the old couples faces sat next to us lol!!
Sunday, May 5th, 2002 9:59 pm The Bank Holiday Special This will sadly be my only entry this weekend, because i fear that on monday i will forget all about this thingymagig. So, what has happened since friday in my uneventful world, well actually quite a lot. Saturday school was as always uneventful and unnecessary! Spent the whole of chemistry talking about anything but chemistry, actually talking about the new starwars film (may 16th) and laughing at the idea of little yoda fighting a normal sized person with a lightsaber, lol...ahem...anyway! Free period was as eventful as it can be with Mr Towner as our host(i.e. as dull as a sloth asleep!) Plus i had to make myself seem stupid and silly(make no comment stuart!!!) in order to appease Merylins wrath!(trust me it's worth it, you do not want her not liking you!!) Music, Ebden, that is all! Computing, dull as nails that have been tarnished over the years. Walk into brentwood after lunch to find Dominic parading outside the hermitage for free sex (perhaps a deep meaningful insight into the workings of Dominics inner psyche?! lol) Now i'm not saying there is anything wrong with free sex but why parade in brentwood, it's hardly going to make a huge impact is it?!!!!! Upon arrival at my home, i find sprawled across the kitchen floor(in pieces i might add) one pigeon(common garden variety), one sparrow and one mouse. in the middle of the this bloody mayhem lay my two cats still playing with some part of the pigeons anatomy. On this note i must mention that i am not against animals catching animals so long as they eat them. I am not for animals catching animals and then spreading them liberally over my kitchen, which i did have to clean meticulously for fear of eating my food only to find some part of an animal found on the plate! The rest of my day was spent in a stgrange house on a strange road in a strange town in England(a strange country!). I was of course at James's house. His mad bitch was funny, she ran all over the house , with her wet nose and annoying tail. I am of course talking about the dog! Stuart is as always being my protagonist and is with holding information from me. So i must go into brain storming mode!!! what is this mysterious "Plan for the ball" , who does it involve and why are my cats eating my shoes??? all these questions need to be answered before i can have an inkling of what stuart is up to!! i think the last question maybe the most pressing one! Anyway i have decided now that i must do what i said i would do on saturday on tuesday!! it should be done otherwise i'll just be a whole world of what if! and why didn't i!! and what is that smell!! Ian Thursday, May 9th, 2002 12:27 am The one with the magnetic balls Hello devoted followers of this deadjournal! It has been a while since a last made an entry and so i will bring you up to date on the events of the last few days and then talk about the excitement of today and the days to come. My last entry was less than inviting so i would like to say that i was very angry on that day for various reasons (please feel free to hypothesise) and cannot be held accountable for the contents of the entry made on that day. Tuesday - this was of course dull and boring, though there was highlight, the broken chocolate in Thorntons! which i might add was consumed en mass by my physics class (yes that includes Dr Cooper!) unfortunately we had no classic Cooperisms so that was dissapointing. Wednesday - was the afforementioned day of anger. Though at the start of the day i started with high spirits after having an uplifting chapel service! Daddy Daves singing is just so good it nearly made me want to join in for once (NEARLY!) Anyway, as i said my day BEGAN with high spirits which were completely smashed by the most boring double Gray ever, to quote Mr Gray himself(here on refered to as "he who shall not be named") "Now i have spent about 15 minutes on that section C question...well looking at my watch possibly slightly over 15..." at this point i looked over at Stuart and uttered under my breath in a voice that can only be described as pure hatred mixed with boredom "It's...been... half an hour!". Of course "he who shall not be named" then went on to spend another "15 minutes" on yet another section C question! I could have killed him, as could the rest of the class i think (yes even Gary)! Oh did i mention that gary was displaced from his normal seat and so sat next to Alix (i am very sorry alix, i would have sat next to you to save you but Stuart would have had Gary and he can be more violent than you) The rest of the day went without a hitch and my spirits once again lifted, but then sank at about 4:00pm for the reasons of my anger and other things coinciding. Thursday - Today I learned Swahili!! And it was a good day up until double physics (are you picking up the trend yet?!) except this was physics with Dr Cooper which is normally such a pleasure, unfortunately i was late to the lesson with Alix which for some reason recieved a tirade of odd looks from the left hand side of the classroom(as you face the back of the room). Also i was deprived of the computer which keeps me sane during Dr Coopers lessons! To top it off Dr Cooper actually decided to teach us for once!! However he failed utterly because of our lack of concentration and unwillingness to learn (oh well!) Chemistry offered oodles (nice word that isn't it!?) of fun, in the form of Stuarts demise at the hands of itchy/burning "water" and by the continuation of the habit we have built up of not doing any work in the second period of the double!! It was great, my magnetic balls were being thrown all over the place and in some places where a magnetic ball just shouldn't go! The whole lesson for me was spent talking to Kofi and Jess trying to confuse each other about tables for the 6th form ball! I think we succeeded (well i was thoroughly confused anyway!).
After that last entry i moved onto Livejournal, which is infinitely better, but these entries were interesting so i thought i would bore you all with them!(aren't i kind!)

Today marked another part song rehearsal and i have finally gotten my little singers to sing the song without the words and music. They sing it beautifully, unfortunately they are lacking one thing...dynamics! No matter how much i shout at them, no matter how many gesticulations i make with my left hand, i just can't get them to put in sufficient dynamics. By the end of the rehearsal i was screaming at them, "LOUDER, LOUDER....SOFTER, softer....CRESCENDO, LOUD, LOUD DAMN IT, SING LOUDER YOU STUPID LITTLE *beeeeeeeeeep*!"(you may want to edit out the "you stupid little *beeeeeeep*!" bit because i added that in for effect just now!) I am just soooo annoyed that my little people can be so musically talented but can't look at me every bar or so to check for dynamics and stuff. I now have a huge break until my next rehearsal which is on Monday, all lunch(ARGH!) sorry James i apologise in advance for leaving you with Stuart and John and Gary again, and Stuart i am sorry for leaving you alone with aforementioned people!

I have had a real blast these last few days, Saturday was Edd's BBQ, which was good fun, it meant i got to see Dawn, Edd(obviously) and Jacques, as an added bonus i got to meet Phill and Hazel(friends of James, Dawn, Edd and Jacques) which was very nice since they were really great people. BBQ consisted of getting alcohol and playing computer games, with the avid spectator of Dawn making a point of every mistake i made in any game, Grrrr.
Sunday heralded a day lazing about and sitting infront of the computer working and chatting to friends on MSN, the majority of my time being spent doing the latter.
Monday was a very lengthy day simply because i got no sleep Sunday night, all the way through physics i was yawning, and then Alix would yawn because i yawned and then i would yawn because Alix yawned...you can see how this goes! Double free was like a half sleep fest, i was half there half not there, again Alix kept yawning, i kept yawning etc. And so the day progressed, ending up with me being really mean to my music set and the yawning stuff carried on, renewed. I also had a Part song rehearsal, and the Tenors and Basses were fine but the Sopranos and Altos were a bit crappy, so i left school very dissillusioned and thinking things like "we're going to lose" and "ARGH!"
Tuesday was a lot better for everything, lessons were very fun! Gary running, LMAO!!!!!!!! Anyways...part song rehearsal was absolutely brilliant, my minions did everything without music and words and they put dynamics AND Mr Ebden came in and he made no disparaging comments....shock horror, this must mean that we are good, really good! my part song is like Frankenstein it just suddenly came alive....WE@RE GOING TO WIN!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!

An odd title maybe, but it is very apt for today. At lunch i went into brentwood to buy the Monsters Inc. DVD, unfortunately i had £17.96p in my bank account which meant that i had to try to find a bank that gave out £5 notes so i could draw out £15, after trundling down to Lloyds and then Barclays James suggested that i use the old, pre cashpoint way, i.e. go to a cashier and take the money out manually! Anyway after much deliberation i had my money and i soon afterwards i had Monsters Inc. which i will watch tonight, it will cheer me up no end! I have already watched "For The Birds" a very funny animated short which is hilarious, it made my Dad laugh which means that it must be funny!
Badminton after lunch was a bit of a fiasco, firstly i was meant to be doing squash so i went to the squash courts, unfortunately the sixth form were only aloud to play in the second lesson of games! ARGH! So i wondered outside and came across a disillusioned minibus of badminton players and since there was one seat free i joined them as a stow away! We played and played and played until i was sweating profusely and no one else was, either it was a testament to how little exercise i had done over the holidays OR it was because i was being selfish and running left right and center and not letting James play! I vote for the first! Anyways...after we had finished playing we went outside to go back to school only the minibus wasn't there and didn't turn up for about half an hour because they had all forgotten about us, the bastards! Finally got back to school ten minutes late, which made me twenty minutes late for my house music ensemble rehearsal.
On the subject of music, i have just been offered a part in Brentwood Operatic Society's next show, Sweeney Todd, which is already underway, but they want me to replace the part of Tobias! I am soooooooooooo happy about this, i love my musical life at the moment, it's brilliant! The rest of my life is crap and in a shambles but my music is making me so happy i just don't care anymore!

Seriously i think that my short term memory is shutting down or something, i really can't remember half the things in a conversation i had with James and Dawn less than an hour and a half ago! ...How much of a rebel i am for flouting school rules and going to the music block for all three free's this morning! (Shock horror! :o) ...How much of a fool i am for letting my ex becoming my ex. ...How musical i am, i am damned musical! YAY! Lalala ...How power hungry i am, i should be a Prae, i am leader of Part Song and that gives a minute amount of power which i am sooooo happy about! Me - " Will you shutup i am trying to run a rehearsal here!" Mr Crosby -"Sorry Ian.", Mwahaha, dear me, power does corrupt! ...How much i want to tell someone, something( and i know this is exactly what i was talking about in point three!) let me tell you that there is no point in asking me! ...How much i love my new umbrella, lol, giggly Dom laugh. ...How fed up i am with pizza and cinema. ...How glad i am that the current series of Crime Watchers brentwood School has come to an end. ...How glad i am the school has upgraded to windows 2000 so we can use the non-existent USB facilities. ...How glad i am that i have the friends that i have. ...That i can't think of anything else to say.
